1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Brighton Therapy Service (“we”, “our”, “us”) and booking or attending therapy sessions, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Scope of Service

We provide counselling and psychological therapy services including in‑person and remote sessions. Therapy is a collaborative process and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Our services do not replace emergency medical or psychiatric care.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or your GP.

3. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal information
  • Please attend sessions on time (As we are not able to extend your session if you are late)
  • Engage respectfully in therapy
  • Inform us of relevant risk or safeguarding concerns

4. Booking and Payment

Sessions to be paid in advance unless agreed otherwise.

Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. The fee at booking applies to that appointment.

Non‑payment may result in suspension of therapy.

5. Cancellation Policy

At least 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule. If your session is on a Monday. We ask you to give 72 hours notice in cancellation.

Late cancellations or missed appointments are charged in full.

6. Online Sessions

Clients are responsible for ensuring privacy and appropriate technology during remote sessions. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by third‑party software or connectivity issues.

7. Confidentiality

Sessions are confidential except where disclosure is required by law or where there is risk of serious harm to you or others, including safeguarding concerns.

We may discuss cases in professional supervision without identifying details where possible.

8. Ending Therapy

The management of endings forms an important part of the therapy, so we ask you to give at least two sessions notice in the case of terminating you or your child’s therapy.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from therapy services.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
