Tears of Sadness
We mostly associate tears with sadness but people cry when they are happy too and then of course, there are the onions! Tears show what we are feeling and they help our eyes stay healthy and protect from hazards. The answer to the question why do we cry isn’t because we are sad or unhappy. It’s more complicated than that but maybe it can help to see just how useful and interesting tears can be!
